MUSIC INSTRUCTION |
| At Ritchie's Music
Center, we are committed to serving the complete
musical needs of our clients. As such, in addition to
a knowledgeable sales staff and up-to-date inventory,
we maintain a first-rate teaching staff that we feel
is second to none. |
| Ritchie's Music Center
offers private lessons in every musical style, and at
every level, for Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Drums,
Sax, Clarinet, Keyboard, Flute, and Brass. The
cost of a lesson is $20.00, except for Banjo, which is
$21.00. |
| Lessons are one-half
hour, and are available during our business hours by
prior arrangement. The time for the first lesson must
be secured in advance by a six lesson deposit, four of
which will be applied to the first four lessons. The
other two to be held in escrow, and will be refunded
upon leaving our program. |

| LESSON
POLICY (As of 1/1/2006) |
| LESSON PAYMENT,
CANCELLATION, AND RESCHEDULE POLICIES: |
| 1. Lessons must be paid for
at the last meeting of each month,
for the following month in advance regardless of
attendance. |
| 2. If payment is not made by
the first monthly meeting, that and subsequent meetings will
be cancelled until the account is brought up to date. |
| 3. Regular attendance
is a must! Frequent cancellations do not
benefit the student. |
| 4. If the professional staff
is forced to cancel a lesson, there will be NO LOSS to the
student. If a make-up time cannot be arranged, credit
will be applied towards the following month's fee. |
| INCLEMENT
WEATHER CLOSINGS: |
| RITCHIE'S MUSIC SCHOOL will
be closed if the Denville Township and Rockaway School
systems are closed, unless other arrangements are made with
the teacher. |

| GUITAR

Chuck Feravola, aka
"Charlie Jones," has 41 years playing experience
and has served as an Adjunct Guitar and Jazz Ensemble
Instructor at New York University since 1995. Chuck has been
a mainstay of the tri-state club scene since the 1970's, and
has appeared with many top jazz and R&B acts, including:
Big John Patton, Illinois Jaquette, Jimmy McGriff, Bernard
Purdie, Jesse Morrison, Larry Young, and Lonnie Youngblood. |

In some of his lighter moments, Chuck has also performed with Tiny
Tim on the Uncle Floyd Show. Look for Chuck's latest album,
released in December 2002. |

| With 4
CD's to his credit, Paul has been playing in working bands
since the mid-80's. Paul currently performs throughout the
tri-state area with his trio, the Paul Gargiulo Band, which
recently appeared live on NJN's New Jersey's Talking

Ted Smith
has been teaching guitar at Ritchie's Music Center since
1983. He has also taught at several other stores in the
Northern New Jersey area, with a total of over 32 years of
experience. Ted served in the US Marine Corps and holds a
B.A. in Sociology from Montclair State University. A member
of the American Federation of Musicians Local 177 since
1973, Ted studied guitar with Bill Brandon, Eddie Berg, and
Harry Leahey. |
| Ted's
performance experience includes work with members of Tommy
James and The Shondells, The Crests ("Sixteen
Candles"), and various rock and club date bands. |
| Victoria Warne
is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter who has
performed extensively in the New York Metropolitan area.
She has recorded with Danny Gottlieb, Spyro Gyra's Julio
Fernandez, and even shared the stage with legendary jazz
great Billy Eckstine. She has headlined at the
prestigious JVC Festival in NYC, along with the "55"
Bar, renowned world-over for its guitarists. Most
recently, she was featured at the Rory Gallagher Tribute
in Glasgow. |

| She has recorded 2
CD's as a leader, "Live At The Savoy", and
"Fluorescence", an all original collection which blends
elements of blues, rock, and jazz into a unique musical
style that is adventurous and passionate. |
 |
Joshua Lopes is
a newly encitizened denizen of New Jersey, where he is
establishing himself as a teacher, guitarist, bassist
and composer. Graduating cum laude from William Paterson
University with a Bachelor's degree in jazz studies,
Joshua studied guitar with Gene Bertoncini and Paul
Meyers and composition with John Link, Christian Carey
and Kevin Norton. Joshua has been commissioned to write
pieces ranging from solo vibraphone to big band suites. |

Joshua is the guitarist
and composer for Tell the Audient Void, a mean-spirited
jazz fusion quartet that your grandparents might not
appreciate. He also plays guitar, bass and writes for a
handful of downtown NYC creative music ensembles. In
addition to being a guitar teacher, Joshua teaches the
jazz and low brass classes at the Brookside School's

Eric Lindberg
began playing and studying music at the age of 11.
His first studies were in the classical realm, and
at the age of 14 he began playing blues and rock. At
16, Eric's interests were exclusivley in jazz, and
studied under jazz great Vic Juris. Eric attended
Mason Gross School Of The Arts, and graduated in
2006 with a degree in jazz performance. Eric has
been teaching guitar, bass, and mandolin for 6 years
both privately and in studios. He has been teaching
at Ritchies Music for three years, and continues to
a strong lineup of talented and devoted students.

| Eric, now working
outside of college as a profesional musician, is
involved in many projects, the most notable of which is
Newbru, A Rock/Fusion/Experimental/Singer Songwriter
band out of New Brunswick. Eric is also involved in
straght ahead jazz projects, bluegrass groups, and
sideman to many pop/singer songwiter groups such as the
Matt Cranstoun band and Stephanie White and the New
Jersey Philharmonic. |

| DRUM
TEACHING STAFF |
|
Tony Bienert
is an accomplished player from the Bergen County area. His
band, Eye of the
Storm, has been a mainstay of the NJ original rock scene
since 1990. Their alter-ego, cover band Mr. Personality,
is now a popular item in NJ clubs as well. Tony studied
drums with Sonny Igoe and Dom Famularo, and prides himself
on making each lesson fun as well as challenging. Tony also
teaches in his hometown of Teaneck and performs occasional
school seminars in Bergen County. |

Keith Necessary has
been playing drums since the age of five. His desire to
learn all styles of music led him to study with Joe Morello,
Gary Chester, Alan Dawson, Rob Morgenstein, and Jim Chapin.
After attending the Eastman School of Music, Keith moved to
New York and took any and all work that came his way. He has
played on hundreds of commercials and movie soundtracks, and
played with such artists as Ray Charles, Jimmy Buffet, Roy
Clark, Joe Pass, Linda Ronstadt, Leonard Bernstein, Jackson
Browne, Lionel Hampton, Peaches and Herb, Billy Joel, James
Taylor, the National Symphony Orchestra, and many, many
more. Keith has also played on Broadway in the shows Oh!
Calcutta and The Who's Tommy, and has just
finished a three year tour on the American Queen and Mississippi
Queen riverboats. |

Tony Bartone began
playing the drums in 1972, studying with Vincent “Muzzy”
Mizzoni. After graduating Lenape Valley High School,
Tony attended Jersey City State Teachers College where
he majored in Music Education. In 1984, Tony joined the
Glenn Miller Orchestra and after a year on the road, he
left to become musical director for The Four Lads and
The Four Aces. His touring included performing in Las
Vegas and many large concert halls throughout |

the country such as the
Kennedy Center. Tony’s pop and rock experience included
playing with several night club acts and wedding bands
over the last 20 years. Other gigs included Joan
Lunden’s daytime talk show Everyday with Joan Lunden,
a Guy Lombardo TV special for PBS, and Big Bands
at Disneyland for the Disney Channel. Tony has been
teaching the drums since 1990. He enjoys passing his
knowledge on to aspiring drummers. |

Rich Monica is
a working drummer; playing and teaching. He has studied
with names like Glen Weber, George Mickel, Karl Latham,
Billy Martin, Shawn Pelton, Brian Tichy, and Bernard
Purdie. Rich has been teaching privately since 1989,
totaling over 100 students. Rich has also played with
some big names in music, some of these are: John Eddie,
Poppa Chubby, Billy Hector, Stringbean & The Stalkers
and many others from 1992 though to current day. |

Matt Van Dongen
(Piano/Classical Guitar) has been studying
music from the age of 17. Matt graduated Summa
Cum Laude with Associates of Arts degree in
Music with a concentration of Classical Guitar
performance from the County College of
Morris. He currenty is pursuing
his Undergraduate degree at Montclair State
University under the guidance of professor
Dennis Cinelli. Matt began playing the piano at
age 18 as a senior in high school, and has been
a practitioner since then. He has covered an
array of repertoire ranging from J.S. Bach to F.
Liszt.

| Though piano is
his secondary instrument, Matt's method for piano is
a layout for efficient and disciplined musical
practices, interpretative subjectivity, and proper
physiological development through complete body
awareness. Matt is also fully-versed in Music Theory
and it's applications both stylistically and
practically. |
